Realtime Drummer FX Racks
The Drummer now has realtime FX Racks. These racks are in addition to the racks in the master sequencer and applied before entering the master mixer. You can group drums with shared racks or choose individual solo racks for each drum. You can choose from 4 shared racks and upto 16 solo racks ... one for each drum.
Isolation Mode
Isolate Drummer Patterns and create customised Mixer and FX Rack settings for each and every pattern.
More intuitive and streamlined drummer layout
The Drummer has a new, more intuitive layout. You can now more clearly identify pattern-specific settings and settings that apply across the whole Drummer. The meters on the Drummer are now also active.
Drum Machine Generators
Always looking for new drum ideas? We now have not one, not two, but three wizards that can help you create individual samples, complete drum machines or selected drums that can be overlaid above your 'core' drums. You can create endless ideas with these new one-click wizards. We love them ... and we think you will be hooked :)
Unlimited Drummer Patterns
The improved layout for the Drummer now also allows for unlimited patterns to be created ... same as the Player and the Slicer.
Copying Drum Samples
You can now copy samples across drums using the new copy feature, without having to bounce first.
Realtime Slicer Racks
Every pattern in the slicer now has a dedicated, realtime FX Rack. You can still resample for efficiency, but the patterns now capture individual rack settings, as well as the playback speed, number of bars, etc.
Locked Slices preserve their original sub-slice location
Locked Slices now record their overall loop size and also their sub slice position (1 to 63) within the main loop. This allows you to more easily identify and differentiate the large set of sub loops, which the slicer creates for you as you scrub the wave.
More sub slices
Each Locked Slice can now have its own set of sub slices, instead of a single set for the selected loop.
Song Slice
A Locked Slice can be dedicated as a song slice that is used for the transient sub slices utilised within the song.
Player FX Rack Enhancements
Patterns in the Player have always benefited from their own dedicated and realtime racks. You can now edit the FX units and their layout more flexibly, similar to the racks for all other units.
Adjustable Sampler Wave
Sampler patterns in the player now display an editable wave, which you can use to further fine-tune your instruments, without having to visit the slicer or the sample browser.
Instrument and Synth Patch Generators
We have added some cool new wizards that can generate synth patches as well as sampled instrument patches. Whether you are looking for inspiration for a lead synth or a deep bassline, you can now get creative with limitless ideas.
More intuitive and enhanced Automations panel
You can now select different racks and FX units, directly from the automations panel. The automations indicator is now also directly available from each FX unit, without having to activate them using edit mode.
Active FX unit indicators
Indicators are now present on each rack link. These are present on the master sequencer as well as the new shared racks on the Drummer and light up when any units are active.
Realtime changes to patterns
Changes to patterns across all units now take effect in realtime, with an undo option for each modified pattern. This provides quite a fundamental shift in the way the Composer works. You now always have a pattern selected on the individual units and no longer have to explicitly capture settings to reflect changes on to the master sequencer.
More intuitive layering options
The Slicer, Drummer and Player now have more intuitive and dedicated buttons, which can be used to play the song, the pattern or both layered at the same time. This allows you to test pattern layering anywhere within your song by simply dragging your sequencer loop.
Normalisation
We have introduced normalisation features in various locations to enable you to maximise the loudness on samples, within the slicer, drummer and the sample browser. The slicer also allows you to normalise whole samples as well as fragments.
Revamped and Dockable Sample Browser
We have made significant enhancements to the sample browser. You can now dock and use the browser independently from other units. Whether you are searching the Freesound library or generating some cool fragments for your drums and instruments, you can create, trim, fade and push content across the whole range of audio units, directly from the sample browser.
Sample Generators
We have created a range of new sonic wizards that can be used for inspiration. You can generate drum hits, single shots as well as complete melodies for use in your instruments and compositions. The possibilities are endless and we can confirm they are very addictive :)
